Study of safety and environmental phenomena by wind tunnel

Experimental activities and models validation are performed in the SEASTAR WT wind tunnel located in the Environmental Park (Torino). This infrastructure is characterised by a large test chamber (6Lx9Dx2,5H meters) with a wind speed range of 0-7 m/s.

The main experiemnatal activities are realted to:

  • validation od release and dispersion models on a scaled (1:10) mockup of an oil&gas offshore platform;
  • scaled simualtion of environemntal dispersion phenomena;
  • drones testing;
  • structural testing in wind conditions.
